recensioPORTALS
recensio.net – Review Portal for European History
In January 2011 recensio.net was the first review portal launched online, developed by the Bavarian State Library Munich in collaboration with the Chair of Early Modern History at the University Cologne (Prof. Dr. Gudrun Gersmann) and the Leibniz Institute for European History in Mainz.
recensio.net is a Europe-wide, multi-language platform for reviews of historical literature. recensio.net is committed to the principles of Open Access. All content is permanently accessible for free. The platform's navigational languages are English, German and French. Reviews may be written in any European language.
recensio.regio – Review Portal for Regional History
recensio.regio, based on the concept and software of recensio.net, was launched online in February 2018.
The portal provides access on reviews from journals with a focus on regional history and over time became a hub for information on new publications in this field even on former German speaking regions. Thus makes it possible to follow topics currently dealt with and discussions lead on regions beyond one’s own. By that recensio.regio also enhances the international visibility of German regional history studies.
The portal has been created within historicum.net, the Specialised Information Service for Historical Studies based at the Bavarian State Library and the German Museum in Munich, supported by the German Research Foundation. It receives counsel by the Working Group on Regional History within the Association of German Historians (VHD) as well as by the Umbrella Association of German Historical and Antiquities Associations.
recensio.antiquitatis – Review Portal for Classics
recensio.antiquitatis, based on the concept and software of recensio.net, was launched online in March 2018.
recensio.antiquitatis provides a central index for reviews in the field of classical studies. The open access review platform aggregates both print and electronic reviews in one database.
recensio.antiquitatis is part of Propylaeum, the Specialised Information Service Classics, supported by the German Research Foundation, managed jointly by the Bavarian State Library and Heidelberg University Library.
recensio.artium – Review Portal for Art Studies
Between 2018 and 2021 the concept and the software of recensio.net was reused for recensio.artium.
Since 2022 the presentation of recensio.net, independently from the other recensioPORTALS, is based on the Open source discovery system VuFind.
recensio.artium provides a central index for open access online reviews of literature in art history.
recensio.artium is a service of arthistoricum.net and is published by Heidelberg University Library.
