Zeitschrift der Gesellschaft für Schleswig-Holsteinische Geschichte
When the regional history of Schleswig-Holstein comes on the table, the four letters "ZSHG" regularly appear in the annotations. The abbreviation stands for Zeitschrift der Gesellschaft für Schleswig-Holsteinische Geschichte [Journal of the Association for the History of Schleswig-Holstein]. The Gesellschaft für Schleswig-Holsteinische Geschichte [Association for the History of Schleswig-Holstein] (GSHG), founded in 1833, publishes this essay collection since 1870 as its yearbook.
The scholarly journal that focuses on recent historical research on Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Lübeck, and the neighbouring regions in Denmark and Northern Germany, also comprises an extensive section with reviews on recent publications on the history of the land between the seas.
Earlier volumes of the journal are also available online in the digital collections of the State and University Library Hamburg.
