Since the foundation of the Historischer Verein für Oberpfalz und Regensburg [Historical Association for the Upper Palatinate and Regensburg] in 1830, the association's organ, the Verhandlungen des Historischen Vereins für Oberpfalz und Regensburg (VHVO) [Proceedings of the Historical Association for the Upper Palatinate and Regensburg], has focused on publishing reports dealing with research on the Upper Palatinate and the former Imperial City of Regensburg.

Alongside an article section, the VHVO publishes an extensive review section containing reviews on all major new titles on the history of the Upper Palatinate and Regensburg.
