Baltische Studien. Pommersche Jahrbücher für Landesgeschichte
The Baltic Studies. Pomeranian Yearbook for Regional History [Baltische Studien. Pommersche Jahrbücher für Landesgeschichte] is an academic journal founded in 1832. It mainly contains articles and reviews on the history, culture and society of the southern Baltic Sea Region, with a focus on the history of all areas included in the Prussian province of Pomerania.
It is edited by the Gesellschaft für pommersche Geschichte, Altertumskunde und Kunst e. V. [Society for Pomerian History, Archaeology and Art] as a yearbook. Since 1969 it also serves as the official bulletin of the Historische Kommission für Pommern e. V. [Historical Commission for Pomerania], and since 1996 of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für pommersche Kirchengeschichte e. V. [Committee for Pomerian Church History].
Thus, the journal places itself in the tradition of the Pommersche Jahrbücher [Pomeranian Yearbooks], which were edited between 1900 and 1940 by the Rügisch-Pommerscher Geschichtsverein [Rügen-Pomeranian Historical Association].
